Doopa
DOOPA / FIELD GUIDE

A little guide
to your little windows.

Open, hide, and make yourself at home.

01

Your first three minutes

  1. Launch Doopa and choose the icons you want. Connections can wait.
  2. Click a bar icon to open a window. Click again to hide it.
  3. Click once more to restore its position and size.

Click Doopa in the Mac Dock if you lose the bar. With Doopa active, ⌘0 also reveals it. With auto-hide on, hover at the top center of your display. The app currently has a Japanese interface; this guide is available in English.

02

X & Instagram

Open X and Instagram in independent windows. Sign in on each official website. Safari and Chrome logins are separate.

Add a slot from the X account menu to keep multiple logins. Use the magnifying glass to search, previous/next to move between posts, and play/stop to toggle auto-advance. Hover over a headerless window to reveal its controls.

03

Watch video

Open Video, then choose YouTube, Prime Video or TikTok in the service menu. Video-only mode hides the surrounding controls. Press Esc to return.

In video-only mode, double-click the left half to rewind 10 seconds or the right half to skip ahead. Some streams cannot seek. TikTok auto-advance waits until the video ends.

04

Connect music

  1. Spotify for Mac: Settings → Music → Connection setup. Connect Spotify, allow macOS automation and play a track.
  2. Spotify / Amazon Music in Chrome: prepare the Mac connection, manually add Music Link in Chrome, then play a track on the official service. The extension is not yet published in the Chrome Web Store.
  3. Control playback and see track details and artwork. Automatic selection prefers the active player.

Lyrics expands the panel to show two lines when supported by the official Chrome player. Click again to collapse. The wide panel expands rightward. Track information from the native Amazon Music app and lyrics from Spotify for Mac alone are not supported.

05

Windows & displays

Drag windows to move and resize from the edges. Linked X and video windows move together. Use the layout menu to swap positions or unlink.

The default secondary-display layout is Video 2 : X 1. Change it in Settings → Windows & Layout. Last-used layout restores your positions next time. Open Instagram separately when you need it.

06

Files & AI

Drag a Finder file over the bar to expand the tray. Removing a tray item does not delete its original file.

Enable Claude Code and Codex separately in Settings → AI. Notification hooks share task status and folders. Codex may require hook approval. This is a status viewer, not an AI chat window.

07

Before screen sharing

Use the crossed-out eye icon or ⌘⇧P to enter Sharing Mode. Private windows hide and collection and auto-advance pause. Use the same control to leave Sharing Mode. Ending a meeting does not turn it off automatically.

Manage permissions, logins and saved data in Settings → Privacy. Never send passwords or cookies for support.

Troubleshooting

No sound
Check the official player’s output device, Mac volume and Chrome tab mute. Use Restore audio if shown.
Music not detected
Play a track on the official service and check Connection setup. Chrome requires Music Link. Check whether playback is routed to another device.
Lost a window
Toggle its icon, or restore a layout in Settings.
Does hiding delete anything?
No. The same button restores the windows hidden by that action. Hiding other apps does not quit them or delete files.
Repeat setup
Open Settings → Setup & Updates. You can also change automatic update checks here.
